What does your beading look like?

Hey Everyone!
It seems that I am always looking for pictures of car beading just to see what products produce what type of beads. I know that beading isn't a good way to test protection but a freshly waxed vehicle with beads on it looks great but you can surely tell its well protected. Well, enough words, let's see your beading shot pictures and make sure you list what the LSP was. I am really interested to see what the Zaino beads look like (hint hint).

Here is my contribution to get the ball rolling:

I don't have any beading pictures right now, but I'll agree that a beaded car looks great. I love going out into a parking lot after it's just rained and looking at my car next to some of the most expensive cars out there. It's amazing that someone can buy such a nice car and then not even protect it with a little wax.
 
I haven't thought to take pictures of beads lately. Since I try to get all the water off that I can with a slow stream of water, I really don't get many beads. I did get an interesting picture off the spoiler of a car this weekend. This would be the opposite of beading.

You'd think that was a perfectly polished and waxed surface, but it is actually just standing water on the spoiler after an ABC wash. You get zero beading after using that stuff. It is pretty much the ultimate goal in appearance since everybody loves that 'wet look'. This is as wet as it gets. lol The paint actually looks like this underneath the water and in good light. This just goes to show that pictures don't always show you what a car really looks like. ;)

Jngrbrdman: So does this picture show that bare paint will not bead? Or paint with no protection won't bead? Just curious because some say you can't judge protection by looking at the beads ie- "bare paint will still bead".

Anyone else have beading pictures? Or just any pictures of what different products look like with water on them (If product doesn't bead)? 4* UPP? Zaino? PBs? KSG? FK1? etc.

There's nothing like washing a car and seeing the beads. Or makes you feel a little better to look at the beads when it rains out.
 
#21 still does bead a little when it rains, if you like beading i think that #26 is a good choice

That isn't exactly bare paint. It still has oxidation on it and surface imperfections that may affect the surface tension. In all honesty, it isn't wax or bare paint that cause beads. It is all about the surface tension. Some products cause it and some don't. The oxidation and swirls could be affecting the surface tension causing the water to just stand on the surface. What do you want to bet that the beads would be dancing on that spoiler after I polished out the swirls and prior to putting on any protection? I'm sure that paint condition coupled with products have a lot to do with what beads and what doesn't.

I know this is a old thread but it would be interesting to see some picture's of water beading from our members.

2 coats of BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection applied about 2 weeks before a day of steady "MIST", not a heavy rain by any means, but very light mist and all day long.
