What does everyone run through there extractor to maintain it.

With regards to a chemical (acid or base) to flush my extractor lines. I use to use the actual fluid sold by mytee for my mytee liteII but shipping is to expensive. I Know I can use vinegar and water but I'm not sure it is strong enough. What else could I use???
 
Mike777G- I don't really flush mine at all, just run clear water through them. But then I hardly ever run detergents/etc. through my extractor anyhow, just plain water; I spray on the cleaner manually and use the extractor's hot spray for "rinsing".
 
I use vinegar to break up the deposits in my Thermax CP12-DV. I do this every 3 months or so and it works like a charm. I fill up the tank with 1 gallon of vinegar and about 2 gallons of water. I let it heat up then run all the water through line.
 
Yeah I don't run chemicals through the lines either but the lines get stuck every now and then so I might give it a flush with vinegar.

Ah, yeah, I can see that..especially if the water's on the hard side.
