Garry Dean Quality!
Do you wear t-shirts while you detail or polo shirts with a collar?

I wear Old Navy Rec Tech t-shirts. I cant wear polo shirts to work in.

What do you wear?

^^Awesome, I looked those up next time I'm by an old navy I'll be gettin some.

I've been wearing underarmor, and breathable collared golf shirts with basketball shorts. I really can't find anything more suitable to work in since it is so dang hot

I just really worry about something soft that won't marr the paint. Usually basketball shorts and a T. I am out of the public view and only really detail part time(Altho lately it is way more than part-time hours) So apperance isn't super important as all my new clients are word of mouth or reference only. I would prolly get a polo with a business name/logo if I was mobile and in view of the public.

I have a ton of the Old Navy Rec Tech polos. Same as the tees but just look more professional IMO. Only problem is the light colors stain easy and are hard to get clean. I look every time I go and can't seem to find many of them anymore.:( Cargo shorts for the pockets.

Carhart k84 DES. In a TALL. They have a collar but not a polo shirt type of collar. 100% cotton in the light brown and I think 95 cotton in the gray. I need the tall to cover my butt when nnmy shirt comes untucked. Very vr comfortable pul over shirt.

Dockers and either a polo or a T-shirt...

I've been known to change clothes when dealing with the customer vs. when working where no customer is around.

Dirty work, jeans and tee shirt.

Normally tactical pants and Concours event or car related shirt and hat, (polo and custom tee.)

^^only someone from Ohio could use the word 'Jeans' in this thread :D

Lol.
Well when your tearing down a car or doing a 30 year old engine bay those clothes are toast! Cheap jeans and old shirts just throw away. I won't dare put them in the wash and risk ruining my wife's business clothes.
Much cheaper than replacing my typical "uniform" or having a mad wife.

Its ok, John, you can wear your jeans if you like.

The little detailing I do is in my own garage so it is shorts, t shirt, and bare feet. Oh, and a very large sweatband for my head.

Under Armour "UA Tech" t-shirt. Very light weight, moisture wicking, and breathable. Nothing worse then an a sweat soaked cotton shirt when you're working. In my old life (and before the 'technical' clothing came out) I worked as a loader at UPS (the over-the-road trailers, not the delivery trucks) and went through 2 shirts on my 3 hour shift and put a dry one on for the drive home.
