What do you think of Einszett and this thread?

Results are impressive, I will have to look into it.

Whoever that guy was that said detailing is all about finding one product line and sticking to it is an idiot.

I believe Sonnydaze and Rave N GTi uses/has usedn these products. The Glanz wax pours and looks like water, but hazes white in about 1-2 minutes. The shine imo is similar to Klasse. One coating should last about four months. I only tried the products on a small 2'x2' area, and the spot is still shiny after two weeks and no wash (not my car). will post a picture when I see the car next time If you would like more info let me know or contact Mike from Einszett. I had an intersting e-mail exchange about their products.

Edit: If you read all three pages from the B5 club forum you would see that Mike jumps in, also about einszett guarantee and that he will send samples 2-3oz.

as edschwab said, i use the einszett line of products and love'em. they're awesome products. the ultra paint polish and paint polish are the easiest polishes i've ever used and give great results. if you go to the einszett website and look under testimonials i'm listed as the 1st "customer testimonials" and under customer photos i'm listed 2nd - photos of a customer's car( red integra). when i got to that customer's house the car literally was pink, when i was done the girl forgot how red her car really was. i also use the einszett express polish(cleaner/wax), it's one of the best one step waxes i've ever used - best if not used in direct sunlight. the glanz wax is great for shine and protection, but a little tricky when first applying and removing. i've found that after the intial coat of glanz if you start to layer or add additional coats 1wk, 2wks, or a month after it is much easier to remove and the protection lasts a long time. i also have used zaino, and stripped 9 layers of it to try out the glanz wax - i prefer the glanz! my zaino is just sitting around collecting dust now. eventhough i like the einszett line, i still keep trying out new products 'til i find what i like the most for each individual step of detailing.:xyxthumbs

Can we please refrain from calling people idiots? He said it with good intentions and that's more than what I can say for others. :up

Here's the thing... I've used 3M and Meguiar's Mirror Glaze for years. But late last year I exchanged some email and had a phone conversation with Mike at 1z Einszett about their products - based on some good word of mouth - I was really impressed. Two points specifically: 1) It was refreshing to talk to someone who was willing to take his time and explain their products, 2) he didn't try to convince me that I needed to buy everything under the sun - only what I needed - and 3) he didn't talk down any other product brands. He actually told me which of their products would work with what I had. In other words, the experience was really pleasant and quite frankly it's something that's very rare these days. Just for these points I'm going to support this brand. I am so sick of being sold everything under the sun and told that I need to complete a thousand steps - it's a waste of my time, money and intelligence. I'm also sick of aggressive selling tactics. That's a quick way to lose credibility. It seems few retailers have an understanding of what service is these days.

Anyway, I'm really pleased with the product line. I've had the Glanz Wax long enough on my car to see that it really does endure. And the polishes don't create a lot of dust when I use the orbital.

BW: get in touch with Mike and ask him all the questions you've got. I'm sure he'd be willing to take the time to answer them. Then judge for yourself and go from there.

Ok... I feel like I developed a relationship with 1z so I'm going to go on the defensive :xyxthumbs

On a side not was it not discovered that IHG removes Klasse SG? So the one guy's four step process, is only a three step:nixweiss

Edit:So reading the rest of the post 2-3oz will only do ONE panel:eek: . That is a a lot of product to me thinking.

I don't know when it was discovered, but a lot of old threads say IHG does strip Klasse. I tested Mother's glaze and also found this to be 100% true (verified by our resident Mother's rep :)), so I'd stretch the rule to say "all glazes strip Klasse". I wouldn't be at all surprised if other sealants were stripped too. So really his 4-step ends up being a 2-step.

I hope he acutally meant 1-2 milliliters or something - 1-2 oz per panel (what I read) is heavy.

I'm glad someone on that thread challenged that "stick with one brand" advice. The worst part was he is a moderator and people tend to heed their words more. :( Sticking to 1 brand and hallucinating that it all works as a perfect synergistic system is what companies would like you to believe, but I haven't seen them do this so I don't know where he learned that....

I'm one of those “idiots who agreed to sticking to one brand line. Mostly because the manufacturer has a process/directions which are easy to follow for the novice, many of whom may not be familiar with what is used or what the difference between IHG and SMR... just that they both remove swirl marks. ;)

Anyhoot, I've been passivley gleaning info off this site... which is rich in real insight and information from it's generous members.

I am a 3M purist. But I have used Meguires, and Mothers with very good results too, but found 3M to be more complete, plus they have a great web site to fall back on when I find myself in trouble.

I recently discovered Einszett with a free sample from Mike. I too find Mike to be very informative, and pleasant, and doesn't put down other products, or try to sell you the kit & caboodle. I was very pleased with the results... very easy cleanup on my black valances with no white residue, a litttle tough to take off though. And nice beading... water almost completely dries off. So far, I'd rate it's depth and shine on par to that of 3M's liquid Show Car Wax, which is what I normally use. I'm going to see just how good the long term results are and share them too.

Also, I'd like to say hi to everyone, and I'll try to contribute best I can.

Colin
