What do you seal your windows with? Klasse?

The water that I have at my house (well water) leaves water spot rings on my windows and paint, and the rings are impossible to remove by soap or window cleaner. I protect my paint with Klasse, and that keeps the paint from getting the rings, but my windows are still all bare.

Is there a sealant made to protect windows? I have thought about using Klasse AIO and/or SG, but I am worried about glare, or other bad repercussions.

What do you guys think?

I have used both with no problems on all but the front.

I also like Z-12 and Autoglym.

Preference for what I have used:

1 Z-12

2 AIO/SG

3 Auto.

Not sure of a specific sealant just for windows. I am not sure what you would consider the RainX and Aquapel lines.

I think a good question would be if you use AIO/SG on windows, what do you safely clean them with later that will not take the Klasse off. Will Windex or Vinegar/water combinations take off AIO??? Or would just washing them with car soap and then drying do the trick??

i would imagine that if you klasse'd your windshield, then simply washing it with the rest of the car should be sufficient. i know BW uses Z2 on his windshield so you could probably ask him.

i have always been happy with RainX. nice reflective look, cool beads, crap comes off more easily, etc. But i'm sure RainX probably doesn't last as long as a "sealant":nixweiss Then again, i paid only a few bucks for a concentrated bottle of RainX that makes 8 gallons of window cleaner that leaves something behind(not sure if you would call this a sealant, but it does say it leaves a polymer shield or something). i'm not sure i'll ever use all 8 gallons even on customers' cars.

I've always used Rain-X on all my windows.

Have you ever noticed any of that chatter people sometimes associate with RainX? If anything, my blades seem to glide better. Other vehicles i have used RainX on seem to do the same.

I use Rain X and it works a treat!

Wipers are pretty perfect now (I did replace them when I first started using it which helps a lot), very smooth and no smear whatsoever. At higher speeds there is no need to use the wipers at all :xyxthumbs

Aquapel sounds like a very good product, I have used RainX, it is ok IMO for all the glass except the windscreen, where is smears and seems to create problems for the wiper-arms although overs seem to like it.

As for a glass cleaner, my fav is Autoglym. Do a search on Aquapel.

I don't notice it but then again my wiper blades are about two years old and all cracked up :p

I hardly ever use them as a lot of my driving is 40mph+ so I drive without wipers :)

I use my leftover Zaino Z2 and Z5 for the exterior glass and rearview mirrors. Does a fantastic job.

Plexus polish for the interior mylar tinted windows and headlight covers. Cleans and seals

Sorry for the alarm, but look up David's last thread from the weekend where he talked about cleaning glass. I could swear he said that. I have it saved on my home computer so I will double check that statement....STAY TUNED TO an AUTOPIA near you!!

BMW530i2003, he's talking about the RainX Glass Polish; not the protectant.

At SEMA this year, we saw a number of new glass products designed to repel water - should be out in the near future.

I use Zaino Z2 on my windows. It makes them reflective and really adds to the detailed look of the car. After each car wash they come out perfect with a little quick detailer spray.........

I decided to get Aquapel. I ordered a few units of it today after reading through this forum's old posts about it. It definately seems like the best way to go.
