Just wondering what you guys use to keep your baby looking good year round on your own cars? Do you do a 5 alarm job every time or perhaps just a wash and vaccuum? What products do you use etc?

Share, share share!! :jump

I'm always adding another coat of sealant or wax it seems.... :)

I generally do a full out detail on my cars 3 times a year or as needed.

4 Star UPC and UPP have become my choice products.

Between time, I wash about twice a week and use Poorboys S&W daily.

QD wise, Poorboy's S&G and Adams Detail Spray are my favorites.

I vacuum about once a week and as needed in between. About the same for wiping down my interior. I use Poorboys S&W for that as well. - Works Wonders.

I'll clean my wheels after each wash and as needed. I usually dress my tires once a week. Simple Green, water, and Auto Magic #65.

My engine is in a perpetual state of constant wipe down. I love keeping it spotless! :) Typically I need nothing more than Poorboy's S&W and a little Automagic #65 Dressing to get the job done there.

I'm about the same as above S&W to keep clean then QD after. I do a fuller detail once a month to include the inside.......my cars are inside all the time so they do not get dirty that often.
The motor is always wiped down

I wash about every 1-2 weeks. My wash regimen includes the following:

Wash NXT
spot clay if needed (very rare)
Tires Cleaned with APC
Wheels Cleaned with NXT wash
Wheel wells cleaned with APC
VRT on Tires and trim
#40 in wheels
Apply another coat of PB's WS
Paint dried with S+G and adams or megs WW
Apply Second Coat of S+G
IG on glass
S+W and S+G in jams
Vaccuum
megs quick int detailer
adams carpet cleaner (spots if needed)

I S+W and S+G about every other day. I always do that before I drop my car at a clients house to pickup there car becuase it is a rolling business card.

I full detail my car every 2-3 months, and very very rarely do shampooing on my carpets because my interior usually remains spotless.

Thats my rundown.

How's the S&W work out for you guys? I have never used it (or a waterless wash) in my life and after reading about it some it seems like it would save me a sh!t load of time as like to wash my car every week. I also vaccuum the insides and wipe it down with PB Natural Look.

Having to wash, rinse, wash, rinse, etc....gets to be a real pain!

I love spray and wash. Its a great product to clean your mildly dirty car. After it gets to bad then I turn to a real wash or QEW. In the winter S+W fought me every time I used it. It is very hard to get it to buff off in our cold MN temps but come spring, summer, and winter it is a must. I order it in the gallon size. I highly reccomend it. If your buying S+W then you should also buy spray and gloss... in the gallon sizes... or 5 gallons if you can afford it... or If money is no issue then go with the 55 gallon drums. LOL

Right now I'm in the middle of finding the best combo for my likings so I haven't had the same products on my car for more than 2 weeks as of right now. In between the different steps I have been using S&W and S&G. As Greg and beemerboy say, the S&W are great for a car that isn't too dirty and follow the S&W with some S&G. I use a WW with the S&W and a m/f polishing towel for the S&G. I have also been using the S&G on my windows. Works great. On my wheels ( Or should I say hub caps :mohawk lol ) I did the initial clean and put on some PB's Wheel Sealant. Haven't been on there long so I can't say how the durability is but I'm thinking I will get maybe a month or little less out of the Wheel Sealant and then need to re-apply. When I find my fav. combo I will probable re-apply every other month or so to keep it looking fresh.

I'm thinking of buying the S&W. I notice most people are using S&G after. Can I use Adams Detail Spray in place of S&G or are they totally different products?

I know if no reason that you can't follow S&W with Adam's detail spray. Many of us get the S&G because it is a great versatile product with superb gloss enhancement properties. It is an appearance product rather than a protection product. I use S&W couple times a week often followed by S&G. I also use CK's Quik Shine about once a week. I do a PC application of QD+ every 2 weeks or so and add another coat of Natty's once a month. S&G can be used in the drying process and to remove LSP's and is very well priced IMO.
