My bottle of SSR2 and 2.5 are running out and was wondering what polishes and compounds you would recommend. I have a black mazda millenia with a decent amount of swirls. I was thinking of going with optimum. Is there anything OTC like the 3M polishes you would recommend?

Is there also a glaze that you would recommend besides #7? I am using that right now but it doesnt seem to have many fillers.

OTC you could probably try Meg's #80 or #83. The #83 has a bit of a learning curve, but the #80 is pretty user friendly. The #83 is probably more similar to the cut of SSR2.5, if you're looking for that level of defect correction.



If you're comfortable with fillers, then I would highly recommend the Sonus Swirlbuster polish. I've used it on my black Toyota with great success. It may not leave your car defect free, but I've been pleased with the results thus far.
