What do you do about post-detail comlaints?

whenever you finish a detail, you always walk around the car, right? look for some wax in the cracks (hey, that rhymed!), etc...

what you do do to make sure you dont have any extra flaws after a detail. for example:

if you do a white car it can be hard to see leftover dried wax. is it okay to wash the car once more to be sure you got everything off? or does the wax need time to "cure"

do you offer a discount for anything the [car's] owner finds?

what are your methods to ensure perfection?

We always put the car out in the daylight, and we expect to find deficiencies...

If you're mobile, move the vehicle to a diffent angle/lighting. Be critical in your analyisis...

Use the right wax/sealant, and you won't have that white residue, but there will be a few areas that you missed.

Find those areas before the client does. That's your job. Simple.

That's what I do.

Some guys use a point based inspection...which will work, but is too time consuming for me being mobile.

what if the owner of the car notices it not when you're standing right next to them, but after you've left and its been a days or so?

Tell them, "But I've already got your money! HAHAHAHA! and hang up"

Depends on what it is they point out. If it's something minor and I can swing by and take care of it in a minute or two, then I'll go ahead and do it. If it's something that'll take some work, then I'll tell them I can fix it when they get their vehicle washed again and setup another appointment...
