What do you all think of my Website / Business Card?

I present to you...

Clean Image Autos

Detailing to the Next Level

Index (Clean Image Autos)

My goal here is to deliver maximum content and information with as little of fluff as possible. Also, I don't have a logo yet, but I need to start to get this ball rolling. A logo will be in the future after I establish some business.

Here is my business card design as well.

I'm open to ANY constructive criticism. This is the first website I have designed in about 8 years. The last website I designed was with Geocities and Tripod!!

As for a business card, I LOVE contemporary art, and simple, but effective design. So here is what I have:

Thanks all.

The card needs work bro. I know you're going for "clean" but it comes across "blank" not clean.

Get a logo, big dog.

On the front take off detailer/owner, looks to busy at the bottom. Put a logo or image on the front. On the back take off one of the website addresses and maybe list some of the services you do or what kind of things you work on, autos, boats planes, trains, trailers, etc.

Just an idea, but;

A logo sounds like a good idea. But if you want a text look, why not see if you can get reflective chrome/silver as the gloss color?

Well how can I get a logo? Where would be the best place to "create" one? I guess I could just use a car type logo for now until I grow things?

I really don't want to shell several hundred dollars out on Photoshop!

Sorry man, but needs work. It's important that the card reflect your professionalism and that card doesn't look like you're a pro.

Go on Elance.com and hire a graphics designer. It shouldn't be any more than about $30 for the business cards and maybe a logo. If you have $100 to spend even better! But right now your card is soo easy to throw away it's not even funny. Make it soo good that nobody wants to throw it away.

I understand that, and getting custom logos and stuff will be done, but I need more revenue. I'm cashflowing 100% of the operation (no debt) so growth won't be as quick as I'd like it to be.

I like the black border around the card but agree that it is very blank. Need a logo or pic of a fancy car close up or whatever....

Your website is ok, it's clean yes, but too simple, looks more like a web page rather then a web site but it's not bad.

Also I would get more then 2 cars in your gallery, too me that says you're just starting out and haven't really detailed anything so why should I let you do my car when you have that little experience.

Just my 0.02.

logos are in the 60ish range...I'll PM you the name and contact of a guy you should contact for it. a good logo will go a lot further than simple business cards!!! Its all about the branding! Professionalism stands out!

You do not need to have a logo right now but it would help. I don't have one but I do have an awesome background on my cards which I get tons of compliments on.

I found a picture on the net that had water from a hose flowing up from the bottom left to bottom right like a rainbow across the sky. Wish I could find the original pic of it. It is pretty neat and I get a lot of compliments on it.

I can relate with the cash flow issue. If you cannot afford the pay for logo design then play with more font options. While you are doing this remember it is not just about what you like. You need to take into consideration your potential audience.

you want to start a business but cant swing $100 bucks???

I'd rather have a logo and more professionalism at the start rather than a super high end wax, or the complete lineup of a certain manufacture.....

dont take that the wrong way either, just stating another opinion.

I got your PM...Thanks man. It isn't that the money is a big issue, it is just I need to turn a few cars before I can justify spending more. This weekend I have about 2 to 3 cars to do and if none of the customers bail on me I should be ready to consider getting a permanent logo for the website / business cards / letter head.

I also have modified my business cards by reversing the colors and adjusting some of the font positioning. Already ordered through GotPrint, but I ordered a low quantity (500).

Not a big fan of the bright green text on the home page. I think you could accomplish the same thing by bolding or upsizing the font a size of two.

Also, there are several grammatical errors throughout the site. I'd read through it with a careful eye, or get someone who is good at writing to look at it for you.

I agree that it looks more like a page than a site. If this is something you decide to stick with I'd either hire someone to do a site for you or build the site from a template.

If you like the idea of a really simple card then I'd spend the extra money and have them texturized (you can get an idea of what I'm talking about here 100 (Really) Creative Business Cards | Webdesigner Depot)

The idea with the card (and the site for that matter) is to give people something that conveys your level of professionalism. (Speaking from a customer's perspective) if I can tell you put a lot of effort into presenting your business to me then I will feel much more comfortable about having you work on my car.

First impressions go a long way.

I think you're off to a good start. You have all the right ideas, you just need to focus on creating a more professional image over time.

I wish you the best of luck sir.

to start the business, you must get a good logo and a good website so that people will trust you. your logo carries your name. The logo and website represents who you are and what you can do for your customers.
