What detailing products did you get for Christmas?

I got myself a new PC from Lowes!! I started with some basic wax application with the white pad that was included with it. Definitely makes my life much easier :) I'm eventually going to get some other pads so I can start with some polishing.

I ordered it, but my parents paid for it. I got:

Blackfire SRC Finishing Polish

4* Leather Conditioner

Pakshak Ultra Edgeless MFs

Pakshak WW MFs

Tire dressing applicators

So far I've tried the towels and the polish. I tried the polish on my mother's black BMW X3. Removed the moderate swirling better than OP, but didn't leave micromarring like the OP and left a better finish than OP. Light dusting and very easy to remove. The MF towels don't feel all that soft, but unlike my Meguiar's Supreme Shine MFs, they didn't marr the soft black paint at all. The WW MFs are plush, but they don't seem as absorbant as the Cobra WWs I have.

Optimum Car wash,

Lambswool wash mitt,

WW drying and general detailing sonus towels as well as a Concours buffing towel,

5 Hand applicator pads

Autoglym intensive tar remover, SRP, and glass polish,

Four Star clay lube and QD,

1 Sonus Block and 2 SFX clay,

Sonus Tire and wheel bundle,

some Collinite 476,

Plus a few other small items.

This should get me off to a good start.

Porter Cable 7424

Meguiars Wide Body Brush

Meguiars Ultimate Wheel Brush

Meguiars All Wheel Safe Brush

Meguiars Microfiber Quik Detail Pad x2

Scunci Steamer w/ attachments

Ordering Pads, and Optimum Polishes/Compound probably one of these days!

Picked this up for myself and my business :)

-DP Pad cleaner/rejuvenator

-Pad cleaning brush

-Foam Gun

Finally used the foam gun today, I'm in love!

Pesticide Sprayer for ONR

Detailers Pride:

Spray Surface Shield Paint Sealant

Interior Cleaner

Protectant

4 in 1 Wash

Max Wax

3 Cobra Super-Plush Deluxe Microfiber Towels

4 Wax Applicators

32 oz Poorboys Spray and Wipe and another

16 oz Poorboys Spray and Wipe

Some Shmitts

I got the following:

- E2k Shmitt

- OP HC

- DP extrem washer 32oz

- 1 gallon or PB SnW.

I bought myself some ONR. Does that count? ;)

I'd head out and buy a spare PC @ $47, but something tells me my local store won't be working that deal.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and enjoyed a break with family!!

I received a $25 gift certificate for AG. I gave my father-in-law some Meg's GC soap, #26, Meg's Insane Tire Shine, and Aquawax. Gave him a foam gun and MF's for his b-day (which he said he liked alot). Trying to give him the detailing fever:D

Consider yourself lucky if you get detailing supplies as a gift. No one in my family would think twice about feeding the *obsession*.

I have had extremely good results with Menzerna IP on an orange pad followed by Blackfire SRC on a white pad.

I got my mom a meguiars car care kit and she gave my autogeek gc's that I used to get poorboys leather stuff, nattys blue trim restorer and natural look, 4* upp, and the pc w/optimum kit....but my optimum kit didn't have poliseal and instead had a bottle of spray wax....guess I gotta call up autogeek.

I didn't have too much in the way of detail supplies on my list this year, but I did get the three items I asked for:

Big BHB wash brush

The set of three smaller BHB's from Griot's

The Tire Dress Express and extra pads (dressing and cleaning)..... hopefully this works as well as some members have claimed.

And while not really detail related, the WonderWinder Electrical Cord Organizer was a little gadget I saw while putting my list together that will (hopefully) make at least one of my extension cords in the garage easier to use and store.

I got a $100 GC to AG. I went on the computer and promptly bought:

-DP Four-In-One Rinseless Wash & Shine 128 oz.

-Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay Special (clay, lube, 2 MF towels)

-Optimum Compound

-Optimum Polish

-3 Detail Spray Bottles 32oz

-Cobra Micro-Chenille Wash Mitt

-DP Interior Cleaner

-DP Interior Surface Protectant

-Cobra Guzzler WW 20x40

A little more then my GC was worth, but I just had to have all this stuff.

I have one of these and while approach in design they used is in the good direction they could have spent a little bit more on actual implemntation so it doesn't look cheesy. For example, They use regular screw to secure plastic crank. Disassemble that few times and plastic will be stripped. I doubt bit better implementation would have impacted botton line on product whose average selling price is $30.

Yeah, it is a bit cheesy looking and I wasn't too thrilled about the screw you mentioned either. But it does hold more cord than my spring loaded reels, so if it works out that's great, if not I guess someone will get it very cheap at the wife's next garage sale ;) .

gliptone spray and shine

Wool wash mit

Mf's

Pads

backing plate

gunna bye myself some bottles, maybe some apc and lights

That (amount of cord held vs. amount of space product takes), was my main motivation to get it. Funny how everything is always better looking in pictures, isn't it?
