What coating should work best if you track/autocross your car 5 times a year?

I was wondering on the hardness of the coatings as it relates to the abuse of tracking one's DD.

Should I wait until winter is over before I coat my car? Does the warmer weather help cure it better? Realize I live in NorCal so winter here is rain and 32-55 temp range.

Does vinyl wrapping your car produce swirls? Is there something you can apply before and take off after the track weekend that would not do a number on your paint?

I sometimes worry about marring from cone contact when AutoXing...thought about temporary PPF (the thread about it might still be here somewhere if somebody wants to search for it) but never bothered. Heh heh, I just avoided hitting the cones and got away with it that time :D
 
I know my cars that see track time get hit with a lot of rocks, chunks of rubber, etc. Therefore paint protection film is the best thing (higher end installs can wrap the edges around the panels too, making it less visible). Coating isn't going to help with this kind of debris.

Xpel makes a temporary wrap called TracWrap for the track and some friends over on Rennlist have had good results. Xpel markets it as a better alternative to blue painters tape.

As for coatings. There is a post by someone at PBMG about all of the coatings they offer. Blackfire is supposedly the most resistant, but also the hardest to apply I applied the newest version of Optimum Gloss Coat to my car. Read on this forum that 40 degrees or above is best. Surface cures in an hour and can get wet after that, but full cure doesn't happen for a week.
 
I just found something called trakk tape. I will check out the xpel.
