What is the one thing that other drivers do thay bugs you the most?

I can't stand it when I am on the highway driving at 70mph and the jerk in front of me turns on his windshield washer. Ofcourse this is usually just after I washed my car:driving:

My personal pet peeve is drivers who pass, then "dive in" nearly clipping my bumper!!!!

Aggressive drivers & heavy traffic don't mix!

Don't get me started. I'm just getting back from lunch. This idiot in the left lane speeds past me, cuts me off, and then turns his signal on to take a left into starbucks:cursing::cursing:. All in less then 20 ft with nobody behind either of us. all he had to do is slow down and get behind me. What a donkey ball!!!!!

He was lucky I was had to get back for a meeting.

My question is for the ladies out there. If one hand is holding a cellphone, and the other is putting makeup on, what is left to drive? By the way normally there is a purse or something on the lap hindering the right leg.

This is probably what drives me the most nuts. I really do hate people who text and drive too, can't understand how that is possible.

Living in Houston we have HOV lanes for carpoolers... I HATE people that are single riders. And, same HOV and someone who decides to go 50 with 40 car lengths open in front of them. (the HOVs are concrete barricaded so no way around speed limit is 65-70)

Ditto on "lane divers" and cell phone/texting idiots.

Also: uncovered or poorly secured loads - too many near misses and a couple of hits when stuff falls off the vehicle in front of me! Had a pickup hauling "junk" drop a car battery in front of me - broke open and splashed acid on the front quarter panel!

Regards,
GEWB

Cell Phones whilst Motoring............

About 3 years ago I witnessed a teenage girl run an elderly gentleman over at a busy intersection here. To make matters worse, she slammed on the brakes and the R.Rear tyre was parked on his chest. About a 1/2 dozen ppl stopped quickly and lifted the car off of the man of whom I was shocked to see it was 1 of my old neighbors. He had blood running out of his mouth and there was 0 pulse, he was D.O.A.

I hope that conversation was worth it

Not using a blinker to turn annoys me. Honestly a simple flick of the wrist is to much to prevent an accident. Well when your talking on the phone mowing down entire crosswalks full of people I guess yes it is.

Sometimes I wonder if it would be better if the drivers license age should be moved up to 18 to prevent this kind of stupidity. We have teenagers in our neighborhood who use our street as a drag strip.

Now that its getting dark early I have come across tons of people driving with their highbeams on. How do you forget they are on?

Also people that have their highbeams on while driving on the highway...you cant even flash them when they are behind you.

I have been brighted by people when I have my front four lights on - headlights + fog lights. I guess they seem pretty bright... until I hit the high beams back at them.

Living in Southern California and driving the Los Angeles freeways several times a week has me pretty imune to the usual stuff - although to be fair it used to just drive me nuts.

I laughed when I read the comment about women putting on make up and talking on a cell phone. Just a few days ago I saw a young woman driving with one hand holding her cigarette the other holding her cell phone - and - it was a stick shift! I have know idea how she steered or shifted in traffic.

What bugs me now is inconsistent drivers. I don't mind if you drive fast or slow as long as you are consistent. But if you drive fast then slow down or change lanes for no reason then go back I tend to give you a VERY wide berth!

I couldn't agree more! The cell phone and cigarette at the same time kills me.

Also, it really is not all that expensive to get a Blue Tooth earpeice:cursing:

since this thread was started by a BMW driver...

this was a lady getting ready to leave her health club in the UK - walked away uninjured. whole new meaning to the word car wash.

:scared: Hah! Note the two people in the hot tub. No way are they going to be disturbed by something like a 3,000 lb car crashing through a fence and landing in the pool a few feet away! :scared:

Ha, my school parking lot was the pinnacle of bad driving. When you mix the divas, oversized trucks, sports cars, and wealthy kids with too much money to lose in together, it was a just a recipe for disaster. I would say roughly an accident a week, and probably someone in the ditch every month outside the school. Oh it was nice cars in those ditches, saw a h3 with 26" floaters dive in, a mb sl500 landed in there, an older caddilac escalade rolled, and so many more. It was kinda funny cause no one got hurt but you just had to wonder how did they pass their drivers test.

Talking on the phone!

I persoanlly hate talking on my phone and it's pretty rare that I will answer a call while driving...anytime you see someone doing something really stupid, they are usually on the phone! :cursing:

That and going 40mph down a on ramp when the traffic you are merging into is going 55-70!!!

Distracted drivers - all the types listed and "just catching a bite to eat"...
and to all the folks in a big __ hurry; for crying out loud don't join the distracted category!

(tough to type on this bumpy road) :w00t:

The left lane is for passing, it is not YOUR job to regulate the speed on the freeway! Pay attention, your responsibility while on the road is to DRIVE your car to the best of your abilities. Not have a meeting, feed children, TEXT, read....... or a multitude of other things.

Sorry for the rant, but..........

This! It drives me crazy. What makes people think, that it is their responsibility to regulate how fast I want to drive. I wish cops would give people tickets for this, like they do in Europe. By far my biggest pet peeve in concern to drivers.
