Yikes..."As Seen on TV"...I'd stick with AutoXray or something like that.

CarMD works as an easy to use handheld tester, made for the everyday driver.
Check to see if you will pass the smog emission test, catch a hidden engine problem, peace of mind before a long road trip, peace of mind when buying a used car and of course reading the "Check Engine" light.

True they may scan your car for free, but CarMD has a proprietary database. Our database grabs information from the fault codes stored in your car's computer, the vehicle's year, make and model as well as the mileage to give you a real world solution.
Also an Autozone may not be open when your check engine light goes on, or even may not be near you if you are on a road trip. You can keep your CarMD device in your glove compartment.
