What are you putting on your car to prep for the winter?

I was thinking of going with the old stand by of AIO and SG. However, being an autopian I'm always looking for something better. I was thinking about try 21, but I don' know if it will give me the durablility I want. What are you using?

Last week I clayed my car......applied Klasse AIO & followed it up with 2 layers of Z5Pro & 2 layers of Z2Pro. (using Z8 in between layers). Topped it all off with Z8. My car is good to go for the ultra mild winter here in West Texas. Later this month, I'll apply 2 more layers of Z2Pro just for the thrill of it.

Winter in GA isnt really too terribly harsh, but I've got 3 coats of KSG freshly applied on my Father's car, as well as my DD. I've got Z2 on my Mother's and Sister's rides. The Pala is probably going to get either KSG or Poorboy's EX and topped with Souveran (because it has to look good at the shootout).

Edit: I plan on using OCW when the sealants lives are nearing the end.

Last winter I used Duragloss #111and AW on the Honda...and Klasse twins on the truck topped with collinite....and they both held up great.....both brought me into the spring with a great shine and beading...

This winter I am going with DG 105 on the Honda...and AW....

and waiting for the red dot to test to use for the winter on the truck....before snow comes..

Hopefully I will get enough RDF49(50?) in my kit to get all my cars set for the "winter" that we'll have. This might be a wet one this time as we've already had a hint of rain and getting more threats this week. This is about a month or so earlier than usual.

Our winters are pretty mild compared to most places, so I really don't have to go 3 or 4 months without re-applying an LSP.

My winter protection will be Collinite 476S topped with Aquawax.

4 layers of SG topped with 2 or 3 of Collinite #845.

I used 6 layers of SG last winter with good results and I am waiting to see what the SG/Collinite combo will do.

Three cars to deal with (including my Dads).

1) DG 601/ 105x2 and AW

2) Either AIO/Prima Epic x3/AW or AIO/SG x3/and a carnuba topper (victoria cruising or CG 5050) followed by AW

3) RDF49(50?) kit ;) .

my winter ride now has 892438290209 coats of DG 601/105 + AW. :)

my TL (now for sale...) has 4-5 coats of Z5/Z2 and is also good to go.

I've never used DG 105, were you able to get than many coats on in a weekend? :)

On my Envoy, it will be getting Optimum Polish on a polishing pad, then Collinite 845. Will maintain with Aquawax after every wash. Here in Buffalo NY, the winters are harsh with a lot salt. Collinite has lasted 6 months for me in the summer(no QD, Aquawaxed once), so with regular boosting in the winter I should get through no problem.

Just applied Klasse Twins, may apply another coat of SG; but will also put topper either S100 or Nattys Blue if i can get some in time?

The Florida car is getting FPII/CG Acrylic Glaze/CG 50:50 (the Souveran clone, i forgot its full name) x3 (winter is the easiest season on LSP's here, cause it doesn't rain all the friggin time and it's a little bit cooler).

The Maine cars get AIO/FK 2180/Collinite 915 x2/Aquawax. It usually lasts from August (when I leave for Florida) until I get home in May.

LOL my winter so far has topped all of yours. I have already had 2 snowfalls in Calgary

try M21 if you want :D and then deicide for yourself if you like it.
