What are some of your little tricks in life?

What are some of the little tips and tricks you use to make life easier?

Mine would be:

-Set your clocks 5 minutes ahead.

-If you're traveling the speed limit, get out of the fast lane.

-After you've turned or made your lane change, turn the blinker off!

-Back into your leather seat, butt first to avoid rubbing the bolster. Don't slide into it, as that causes wear on the leather seats and if you do that, then the 15 year old boy who buys it down the road will hate you.

-Park far away from anyone else.

-Get on the teacher's good side, that way, she laughs about you dozing off in class instead of giving you a referral.

1) people who set their clocks ahead are easily fooled

2) referrals are the least of my concerns

3) 15yo's should not drive their dad's lexus

A wise man once told me "Work half days".

"You can work the first twelve hours or second twelve hours, but either way, you're working half of the day."

1.) Never, EVER upset the Mrs. when she's on her "cycle"

2.) Teaching the kids that trying to park the cars in the garage below 16 is a bad thing

3.) Put any glasses of liquids AWAY from the computer

4.) Always leave an emergency car key in the house (saved my @$$ twice already)

5.) Teach the teens that car caring is a necessity. Hey my son learnt the ABCs of detailing at 13. He's now as good as me and does most of the detailing when I'm tired

6.) Never underesimate a road's condition during bad weather.

Well aren't you Mr. Negativity ;)

And the Lexus, while in my Dad's name on paper, is very much my car. It was bought for me and I'll be making payments eventually (soon).

BTW, thank you for the help with Jeep stuff. We just had ours lifted with a 4" Skyjacker kit and still have some mechanical mods on the way (gear, axles, etc...)

Do your best to find jobs that you are interested in and enjoy doing. Work will hardly seem like work.

Examples...detailer, pool hustler, DNR watercraft inspector... :)

Legg-Mason Opportunity Trust (Bill Miller).

START AN IRA NOW. Compound interest equals happy retirement. My 8 year old sister has an IRA (Napolean Dynamite: "Lucky").

30 is not too late, but those who start early are those on their Grady-Whites en route to their beach houses at age 55.

Social Security is not retirement.

Glenn, when we meet for the VA Autopia thang, I expect to see your earnings report:D
