What am I doing wrong?

I have just finished starting to prep my car for winter. When it came to the Klasse twins I was dreading it as I have never used SG before and read nothing but horror stories about wiping it off. All I can say is I don't know what all the fuss is about. I applied the SG with a microfiber applicator that had not been dampened with water or QD and I found it incredibly easy to work with. Admittedly the first couple of panels I had to fog with my breath to remove the streaks but then I decided to do 1 panel at a time and wipe off straight away. Awesome is all I can say. Hence my question am I doing something wrong. Is the WOWO method not as effective or offer the same protection as letting it sit for a while and then killing yourself to try and remove it?

The look it gave my car is nothing short of amazing. I have never seen my car look so well. Paint is quite noticeably darker and really really wet looking. This was all done by hand so I can only imagine what my car would look like if I had a pc. Can't wait too see what another 5 or 6 layers will look like.
 
It would probably offer a bit more durability by letting the SG sit for a little longer to set up. I have not used SG myself, so I can't comment with any real confidence.
 
I suppose the question is the thickness of the layer of SG that stays behind after removal using the alternate methods. In other words, do you remove more SG using the WOWO method than you would if you let it sit on 24 hours and buff off the excess?



I don't think anyone knows the answer and I doubt anyone will be likely to actually do the tests required to definitely answer the question.



If you plan on adding 5 or 6 layers, I'm fairly certain that you'll get complete coverage that will last the six months or so until you need to do a complete detail again.
 
I've used the WOWO method with SG and had great results with respects to both appearance and durability with a single layer.
