What about CG 5050

Does anybody use Chemical Guys 5050? Can you say something about the finish and durability? Will it mute the flakes on metallic paint? Is this a nuba?
 
I use it, it gives a VERY distinct 'nuba look, wicked wetness, does dull metallics a bit, durability I can't attest to, I keep trying different waxes/sealants, I never give one time to see how durable it is....
 
Great wax, it's like a "lite" version of the Zymol EGs in terms of looks, mutes flake kinda, the car tends to take on the color of its surroundings more than its own color.

Thanks for the info guys. Since you both said it can mute flakes a bit, I won't take a chance with it. I like the flakes on my metallic paint.
 
If you want flake, you want Opti-seal... that's where its at flake-wise, IMO. If you want to top with a 'nuba, a client of mine ordered Dodo Juice from the UK and it's quite the flake-friendly wax. That, or CG Pete's 53.
 
I have that problem with some products. For Me Z5 pro & ZCS are great for that Metalic pop. I also found that CG WMF is great too.

Yeah, sealants are great. I have been using Ultima PGP, which is just amazing and the application is super easy. It really makes the flakes pop also. Sometimes I like to do a nuba by itself or top the Ultima just for a different look. So far the p21s100% has been great, but I am always looking to try something new.
 
To my eye, on my black paint, CG 5050 produces a wet look with plenty of depth. It hasn't really muted the flake on my paint. Someone mentioned Pete's 53. I think Pete's 53 is very Souveran like in appearance. Both are great waxes. I wouldn't shy away from either if you have flake. I've used DWG and CG EZ Creme Glaze under both waxes with amazing results. Plenty of flake pop.
 
CG 50/50 is nice, its also sold as a few products from various CG rebandings. I think you can get it in one of those large retailers where you need a card to get in....CostCo as Jorgens 20/20.



Its a nice wax claiming to match the upmarket looks of other more expensive products.



Nattys RED gives slightly better looks IMO. More of a wet icecube (the Zymol style look), rather then that some what artifical dripping wet look. Not that im hating on either of those, just my opinon.



BLKtac05 pick some RMG and top with 50/50 for even more met. popping!
 
I love it, i have it on top of Jetseal 109.....both are very good products...im interested in the rebanded names....could you post OR PM me if you know any of them specific??? Not sure what the protocol is on that question

What do you want to know? Jorgens Shine Shop (@ Cost Co) also has EZ glaze badged as something else as well, its the same colour. I think they do, they did (i got one) little sample sets as well.



Not everyone that sells CG based products are just "rebrands" there are plenty with unique or altered formulations.



What else did u want to know?

I've got RMG & VM. I love using them under nuba's as well.
