WG Auto Bathe and DP Auto Bath?

scooch

PC @ 6 = Ludicrous speed
Is there a difference between the 2 products other than the name? Both have TUFF SUDS II, both have a ph of 7, both are save for waxes and sealants. :dunno

being made by the same supplier doesnt neccesarily mean its the same. neither does having "some" ingredients in common. i can mention plenty of soaps that are ph7 and safe for selaants/waxes. its the combination of lubes, cleaners, ect that determines it, atleast thats wha i think. they may have some of the same thigns but the ratios maybe totally different.

i know this doesnt directly answer u're question.

I would buy whichever one is cheaper. If thats DP, then you wont be disapointed, ALL the new DP stuff is really outstanding!

I know the products are probably not be exactly the same but i am just wondering if the differences are negligible based on anyones experiences. I currently use WG Auto Bathe and like it a lot but DP is much cheaper...looks like its going to have to be an experiment. :bigups Going to wait and see if I win the DP GiveAway from autogeek :D

I doubt they are the same (though I do have a strong belief of the Max Wax being a relabeled, discontinued formula. It is a good thing if true!) but I have used the DP Auto Bath and did not care for it. Decent cleaning ability but it lacks the lubrication I look for (Four Star, Exclusiv, Pinnacle, and Menzerna satisfy me).

TW85, would that discontinued wax be Paste Glaze? Whether it is or not doesn't matter. I've been using MaxWaxfor about a month now and kicking myself for not trying a carnauba sooner.

Just today had the opportunity to use my newly acquired DP Auto Bath Shampoo. I am always on the look out for a better than average performing shampoo that is cost efficient when using for personal and customer's vehicles. I don't know that the DP will be one of those considering the cost of delivery, but I do know that my initial opinion is...I like this wash.

TW85, whether it is the difference in water or just personal opinions, my preference in the lubricity category lubricity is the DP product over the 4 Star wash concentrate. Cleaning ability is a wash ( :cool ) between 4 Star, DP and Pinnacle, though the vehicle today didn't present a real test. Pinnacle may have a slight edge (or not :dunno ) over the other two. For today's wash, I used 2 oz of the DP ABS to between 3 and 4 gallons of water. Sudsing was more than adequate, lasting to the end of the wash and rinsed spot free in spite of today's hot Texas sun.

I noticed that DP and WG soaps look, smell, and perform very similarly. It wouldn't surprise me at all if they are the same. Not my favorite soaps, but they work decently.

Thanks for the responses everyone.

ZaneO what soap do you prefer?

I have to mention that I was in target last week and ended up buying Megs Gold Glass Shampoo @ $9.99 for 128oz or 3.78 liters for those who like the metric system. :D
