Wet sanding

hi im noob here and have a question. Can i wet sand an area of my car with 2000 grit and used the Porter Cable to polish shinny again? or is the PC not strong enough to cut?

To answer your Q: it is not the PC that will do the job,

but

the products

In short:

after wetsanding:a compound first

then polish

glaze

finish with wax

so as long as i have the right compound i can use my PC or would it be recommended to use a rotary?

I've removed 1500 grit sanding marks with a PC and Meguiar's Diamond Cut on one of their red pads. It worked fine. A rotary is probably a faster way to do it, but a PC can do the job too.
