wet sanding??

Hey everyone i did a touchup job and i primed and paint multiple coats and wet to sand it. i wetsanded it and allot of the paint came off and i saw the primer underneath why did all the paint come up??/ help me out with some suggestions. o put another touch up coat on and am gonna let it dry all day and night and tommorrow try it again. Any input would be much appreciated.
 
i think the cure time might of been a problem i didnt let it set for 24 hours cause i set it out in the hot sun all day. I put 2 more coats on waiting 3 hours between them and will let it sit till tommorrow. i used 1500 grit 3m sandpaper wet/dry. very light pressure. Thanks for all the input guys much appreciated.
