Wet-Ice over Fire on Black

I recently purchased some Eiman Fabrik Hi-Intensity cleaner from CMA.



I used the HI on my tires. I first wet the tires and wheels. I then sprayed the HI onto the tires. I let the HI sit on the tires while I cleaned on my aluminum wheels with my wheel brush. After I finsihed with the wheels, I then scrubbed the tires with a tire brush.



This approach worked quite well. The HI removed all of my browing and made my white lettering look radiant. My question is this: is it okay to let the HI sit on the tires while I clean the wheels? I waited this time because I wanted to give the HI time to sink in and do its magic. Can I wait again in the future? Or should I start scrubbing as soon as I have sprayed the HI on?



BTW, I finished with Eagle One Concours tire dressing. One word: Totally awesome! Okay, that's two words- one just doesn't suffice!
 
Hi Intensity is good strong stuff. You don't have to let it sit that long at all on tires. On rims or wheels, it should even be shorter. Many of us like to dilute this stuff 50/50 with water and we still get great results. Also, now that you're using the EO Concours Tire shine, you shouldn't have to let it sit long either. Laters.
 
EF High Intensity is strong and really don't need to sit a long time to do a good job. I dilute it 50/50 and clean one wheel and tire at a time. I usually let it sit about 30 seconds and then scrub the tire and the wheel.
 
Dude, it sounds like you were happy with the EF HI? Funny, because I actually just logged on this morning to ask if anyone had any experience with it. I like the fact that it was advertised as acid free but wondered if it would be strong enough to clean my tires. I also plan to use it in my engine compartment. Also, what kind of finish did the Eagle One tire dressing leave? I have gone through several products trying to find a dressing that is less shiny. I am looking for a flatter, cleaner look so as not to distrat from my shiny chrome rims! Any suggestions

Currently, I use Vinylex which gives it more of a matte finish. Others swear by 303 (future purchase).

Personally, I am happy with my HI because it literally replaces a bunch of cleaning products. Once you order the 32 oz size, you will find yourself ordering the gallon size to keep from running out. :D
 
I got the trade secret kit from CMA. The product that took me by surprise and totally blew me away was HI. Totally brings tires back to life. I had though that the paint had worn off the raised white lettering, HI brought it back to brand new bright white. Just like Prinz][ said I got a gallon before my 32 oz. ran out.



As far as using it goes, like everyone says it works very fast and I dilute it 50/50 too. Just work small sections, try to be in the shade and don’t let it dry out. Great on the engine compartment too.
 
Airball50- YES! I am extremely happy with the Eagle One Councours dressing. This is, without a doubt, the best stuff I have ever used.



It's hard to describe the finish. It's not overly shiny, but it's a deep, deep dark with a very slight shine. I doubt that it will detract from your chrome rims. I really like this stuff. If you'd like, I can send you a free sample.



Others reccomend Vinylex and 303. I have not tried Vinylex, but I do have some 303- the Eagle One is darker than the 303, but again, the Eagle One is not shiny. I haven't tried Vinylex, but I'm sure it, like 303, is great because so many Autopians use it.
 
I have found Zaino Z16 (#1) and EagleOne Concours Satin (#2) to be the best, longest lasting tire dressings on the market so far. Both are easy to apply, are very thin in consistancy and will not sling if applied properly.



My favorite: Z16 lasts the longest, hands down. It is pretty impervious to rain. It has a good gloss. I would personally not like anything glossier. It makes the tires look very black. It will not brown. It is easiest to apply with the Eagle One foam tire dressing applicator. The only room for improvement would be to put it in a spray bottle! (Zaino Bros., are you listening? Ha!)



My second favorite: EOCS is a bargain. It's cheap, easy to apply and lasts longer than most others. Not quite as glossy as Z16 but I like it.



Vinylex is a bit too shiny for me. 303 doesn't do quite enough for me. Neither last very long. They would be my third and fourth choices, however.

I used Eiman Fabrik H-I today on the long neglected door jambs of our Benz and the results just blew me away! Remarkable stuff! Now I have to find a brush, without the metal band that paint brushes have to cinch the bristles, to assist H-I in the nooks and crannies. Great stuff!
 
Hmmm, the Eagle One Concours tire shine product is looking more and more attractive. So many great testimonials over the last year or so. Perhaps I should take the plunge now. Thanks.

[/b]</blockquote>If you already have suitable brushes that have the metal band, perhaps you could wrap the metal with duct tape or electrical tape to prevent scratches . . .

So, it's only in the mid-40*F temps and here I sit with a new jar of BLACKFIRE Midnight Sun Ivory Carnauba Paste Wax. It's driving me crazy! :Gift:

So, what can I do with this? Well, I did detail a new, shiny, deep black finish just last week. :spy:

And we all know about deep black finishes - beautiful to behold, a PAIN to maintain! :cursing:

Finish Condition: new
Products: IPA, BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond, medium weight micro fiber cloth, Gold Finger Pockets

Process
> IPA wipedown with mf cloth.
> Wet Diamond applied with Gold Finger Pocket
> Polish with mf cloth

Results were very good, better than when delivered (sorry, no pics right after the Wet Diamond); hand prints stick out like a sore thumb!

Durability: very good after one week

Fast foreward one week - hand prints! Time to wipe down and top with Midnight Sun!

Finish condition: hand prints over Wet Diamond on deep black finish
Products: medium weight micro fiber cloth, Gold Finger Pockets, BLACKFIRE Midnight Sun Ivory Carnauba Paste Wax

Process: hydrate surface with breath then wipe with mf cloth; apply Midnight Sun wax via Gold Finger Pocket; buff with mf cloth

Dude, that was funny. I was fully expecting to see a car that you did, and then there they were....pictures of your lap-top.

I do know how you feel though. I got my Midnight Sun from the just because contest, and it is killing me to have to wait to use it. Hmmmmmm, maybe, just maybe.
