I posted this over in "machine polishing" but didn't get any responses.
I'm using a flat, grey, 5" pad on a UDM at speed 3 to apply Wet Glaze 2.0. The pad acts like a sponge, soaking all the product into the pad all the way to the backing plate, leaving very little product on the surface of the pad to be used on the paint. I had to clean gobs of Wet Glaze 2.0 from the pad and backing plate while very little was actually applied to the paint finish. I had started with very little product on the pad but it would soak through to the backing plate end of the pad. What went wrong? I thought a grey pad would have been perfect for this?
