Werkstat Shelf Life

Anyone have an approximation as to the shelf life of Jeff's stuff?

I bought PS, PA, and AJ in fall of '08 and stored them in the house over winter. Last year they were all painful to use, I tried in different temperatures, humidities, pads, etc. They all fought like stubborn mules. To make matters worse, durability was severly reduced. I sent an e-mail to Jeff but received no reply.

Is it time to throw these things out already? Bloody hell I hope not, I only did 2 cars with them in '08 and 3 in '09!

Just curious as my Klasse I've had since '07 and both AIO and SG still perform like the day I got them.

Huh, that's an interesting issue, hope you get an answer. I've been debating switching to Werkstat if/when I ever use up my KSG (over ten years old and still works fine), but not if it has shelf life issues.

Interesting. I've had my Werkstatt products (PA, AJT, AG) since the summer of '08 and haven't had any issues. They work just as easily, look just as good, and retain the same durability they've always had.

I would try to contact them again and discuss this with them.

Same here. I had my Werkstat for several years and it was fine all along. As far as difficulty in using, that can be an inherent issue with Werkstat. If you apply the product in accordance to the instructions on the bottle, you will probably apply too thick and have a rough job on your hand. If you apply Werkstat in accordance to the Scottwax method (if you can see it, you need to keep spreading it) you should be fine.

Yeah maybe I'll have to try Jeff again. I will give them another shot within the next few days. They worked amazing the first couple apps but bloody hell last year I had no idea what was wrong. I'll keep you guys updated if he responds.

Never had a problem with mine, either. Only thing I've ever seen was some crystals in the bottom of my AG, but it never seemed to make a difference.

Sure hope it doesn't go bad...I mean, for non-pros a bottle of [that kind of LSP] oughta last for ages (even if you knock it over and spill it now and then :o ).

I've also had my stuff for a few years and no problems at all. You are probably putting too much on.
