Well, Now We Are Moving

So things in my current neighborhood are really aggravating us, so it is time to move. Found a nice three bedroom house with full basement and nice garage for not much more than we are paying for this 2 bedroom, no basement or garage. Its been updated throughout and even has a new roof. It is a rental, but it's a much better place so we can take our time to search and buy a permanent home. My commute for work will be about 10 minutes longer, but driving to the shop on Monday and coming home Friday it won't be too bad. It is really close to the Turnpike so I might get to bring the van home more often.

And the best part...

That garage looks amazing

I'm looking for a new place now, 2 car garage is at the top of the priority list :bigups:

Looks like a nice cozy place. Having a garage to detail makes a world of difference. :bigups

Thanks guys! It's really a nice house for the money. We plan on moving in around the first week in December. The garage floor is gravel, but it's better than no garage! I'm going to put paving stones down where the tires go. There is storage out the ying yang, the basement is super clean; it was recently painted, floors and block walls. The owners said I can do anything I want to with the garage and he would help me put a better electrical service out in the garage. All it has now is one 110 circuit. It is oil heat, but it's a newer furnace and with me being gone most weeks for work we will keep it set low. Water heater is a separate electric so we won't have to worry about running the furnace in the summer. Snapped a better picture of the garage and back yard.

Nice digs. Love the driveway. One thing i miss about our old place is the DRIVEWAY. It was massive. As you can see, nice garage on the new place, but tandam parking driveway.

Maybe I'll start another thread..but I'm ready to move myself.
Destructive kids, a basketball net in the street across from where I parked. Now a half circle painted I my street. Ignorant neighbors that have no respect for others property.

That's similar to what we re dealing with now. Just time to get out of here.

We just recentlyove out of apartments that was just starting to show signs of becoming sketchy.

We have home now about 30 min away in the middle of nowhere country. Old farmhouse on an acre with 28x32 garage. The garage and peace and quiet are a dream come true!

Congrats

Stopped by and was able to access the garage for some better shots! :)

Electrical service is a little weird. They have half the stuff strung off of extension cords, even the garage door openers. That's the first order of business.

Had off again today so I took some of my tools, detailing supplies, and oil stash over. Was nice being able to unload everything in the garage without getting soaking wet in the rain! Took the detailing stuff in the basement, it's so nice having one of those again. No more little box in the corner of the kitchen!

For sure. Everything is in the basement now. Come spring, just a straight shot over to set up the garage. Lubed the heat pump on he furnance this morning. SAE 20. Had to get it at lowes. Just a few drops at two points on the motor.

Got 95% of everything moved today. I can say I do not want to do that ourselves again. Would have loved to pay someone to do it but it's the slow season at work, so money is tight. Just got caught up financially from the last move and here we are again. Not sure what to do with all this room!

If the bearings are hard to get to, get yourself a Zoom Spout bottle of All Purpose lubricating oil.
Lowes or Depot may sell one or go to your local plumbing supply. You'll never go back to that old can style.

For sure. $$ was tight, but we had movers do the heavy stuff. MONEY WELL SPENT! Plus we could have never moved that stuff ourselves!! We used weleski transfer. They are 100% on the ball. 3 men at 5.5 hours for our move.

Johnstown, PA Movers - Weleski Transfer :bigups

They did all the appliances, beds, attic contents, mower, etc....

And we did all the rest. Too many trips in the escape and xterra!!!

Gravel floor in the garage equals drainage. You can wash in there.

Hopefuy not to much clay in the soil and your set.
