I see that Edge Buffing Pads has become a sponsor of DC and wanted to give a warm welcome to them! :yay I can't wait to have someone from a pad manufacturer for their input, to know about upcoming technologies and a place to go if there are any issues that need resolving. It is great to have The Edge here! I've always been a big fan of your guitar playing. ;) j/k Seriously though, I love Edge pads and have been using them for about a year now. Your quick connect system is awesome and I love not needing to use a backing plate that can grind up under spoilers and scoops. I also love that they don't have velcro that comes off before the pad is really worn out. Add to that the fact that they are double sided and you are getting two pads for the price of one and it is easy to see why I'm a fan. Welcome to DC!

Welcome aboard! Maybe I can ask a question here. I've been looking at the Edge line up on a couple of different stores and was trying to find an intro kit that had a couple of the dual sided pads and the quick connect. Am I just wishing or is a package like this offered?

It’s great to be back and thanks for the warm welcome!!!!! We are really excited about being a sponsor and being able to have direct contact with you, our customer. This year we are very enthusiastic about our Edge2000 product line. We will be re-launching the system this month with all new and improved adapters and pads. We have paid particular attention to rectify the past issues and concerns. The glue has been upgraded to a super-strong, hi-temperature and solvent resistant adhesive which has withstood months of testing. The adapter is now shorter and is screwed together with a chemical weld type of Loctite. This new shorter adapter weighs less and brings the pad closer to the machine. Both these changes will reduce the vibration. Then we add the Grand Daddy of security!! To permanently insure that we will never have detachment of the adapter, we now drill a hole through the sidewall of the adapter completely through to the other side. Then we force a pin through the hole and the inner screw leveling it off on the other side and finally we chrome the whole piece. This is just about as permanent and safe as you can ever get!! Hi and welcome to the forum Aaron. I have been using your pads ever since buying my pc 7424. I bought the full range of the DA pads and then bought them all again as extras seeing as im in the UK and didnt want to keep paying postage and having to wait for delivery each time.

I love the pads however i have had 1 polishing and 1 fine cut pad split on me. I think 1 of those pads actually split somewhere around the connector area and then went outwards towards the edge of the pad but heah thats just the way things go. It hasnt put me off buying your pads at all and will be ordering again in the near future.

I have the older quick connector however i could do without taking it off and sending overseas only to await for a replacement...Is there anything you can do where you send the new one on and then i send the old one back again..Send me a pm if you can help, if not i will just buy the new smaller conector when i order a few more pads....Keep up the good work...Cheers..
 
I would just like to take this oppertunity to publically "Thank " Aaron for his help in the little issue i had.Aaron has gone beyond being just a retailer to being a Top Class retailer who values his customers.Aaron has very very kindly offered to replace my damaged pads even though im half way across the world. If i buy a part in the UK then the warranty is only valid in the UK or you have loads of problems trying to get things put right, i end up buying from the US and this company have absolutely no issues or hesitation in offering me a replacement--for this im grateful.

To anyone who is considering buying The Edge pads please take into consideration the customer service as well as looking at how good a job the pads will do for you.I did consider my Edge DA pads as one of my best buys i have bought for the car--now i conside them THE best.
