Weird Question about scent

This may seem like a weird question.

For my interior scent I use a small piece of cloth with some cologne stashed in a not evident place. Since it is quality cologne it stays for some time. When I don't notice the scent anymore I take the cloth and "swirl" it in the air.

My question is; if I put a drop of it in when I steam clean,do you think this will do any damage.

I am not looking for advice on whether there is a better air freshener, just if this will do any damage. I really don't plan on using more than a small dab, so as not to be overwhelming.

Call me weird or obsessed, but I AM an Autopian.

As long as you keep it small, I cant see a problem.....colognes are basically alcohol (which will mix with water) and oils...being as your using a small amt, there shouldnt be a problem.....Try this out, take a regular kitchen sponge (dry and clean), cut a chunk off, about the size of a wristwatch, put two-three drops of cologne (or a squirt), place in inconspicuous place.....(or find something you could put it in, and hang from rear view....) When your interior heats up, it will activate the oils....works like a champ.....when the smell dissapates, add another drop...You will find, as you use it, you will need less and less....
