Weird obession w/ Dodo Juice Wax

Hello everyone,

Recently I've had this weird obsession on Dodo juice waxes, while I haven't tried them I really want to see how they perform. Therefore I would like to know from those that have tried them or use them, should I or there are better ones out there. (Currently used Meguiars NTX paste and P21S paste)

Thanks!:buffing:

I can see how you might have an obsession with them. They are well marketed and have attractive packaging. They also have a very good lineup.

I personally was very impressed with Supernatural. I previously had used NXT 2.0, Nattys Blue, XMT 180, EX-P, UPGP, Zaino Z2, DGAW and maybe a few more, and its one of my favorites.

Its very easy to apply/remove, smells good, and looks great. You might give the sample pot a try. You can get it for less than $30 if you do it right.

I won a sample of Blue Velvet, I was not impressed with it at all and ended up tossing it in the trash. Thats the only Dodo Juice one I have used. I switched up to Swissvax and have been way happier with the results.

Should have sent it this way :lol Which Swissvax are you using. I want to give Onyx a try (cheaper than the rest) I kind of think is too expensive for the rest of the swissvax

They do look spiffy. I've always wanted to try them, along with a lot of other products. In due time...

I bought the 4 wax sampler. I only tried 3 of the 4. The 3 I did try were kinda all the same: didn't make the car shine like a mirror...but enriched and deepened the color. The blue velvet did this the most.

Never found out how they are for durability though. And the only 'issue' I had was I started applying blue velvet with a cotton wax pad...not good: It clumped up quick on the pad... I switched to a foam pad and it was much better.

I liked the smells and if you're a hand applier (new word), I can see where someone would buy it just for that.

The four sampler pack will give you a nice introduction to them at a decent price and each little tub will do about two medium sized cars with one coat each...depends on a lot of variables though.

Overall, I liked them. I think the price could be 10 bucks lower for the regular size tubs.

Never tried Swissvax. Want to.

I love all my Dodo waxes (currently using RBJE, Supernatural, Hard Candy and Blue Velvet). You'll be happy with them, trust me ;).

I bought a Fantastic Four sampler last spring that includes the Supernatural. Just for yucks, I decided to weight the panel pot of SN before and after application. On average, it takes me ~4g for a single coat. It's not a bad value, considering. I originally bought the sampler to satisfy a curiosity, and loved the waxes. I'm having a blast playing with them.

I too have enjoyed my Dodo Juice products. I now have included Red Mist Tropical quick detailer and Sour Power shampoo and enjoy them both as well.

I'd also recommend the samplers. Even if you want a wax for darker colors - there are two made for darker paints, then also Rubbish Boys, Supernatural, and Rainforest rub: all made for all colors.

There's also the idea of doing things backwards: if you get the darker waxes and use them on light color cars, you may get nice effects, and it'll also be easy to see where you've applied wax and to notice if you still have wax to buff off when you're done.

It's also hard to tell if you'll like the soft or hard waxes. I like that Supernatural applies very thin, but it's not as easy to work with as others due to it's high carnauba content which makes it a little tougher to spread, and gives issues if you don't apply it thin enough.

I personally like the soft waxes as they're a tad easy to use (i still use a foam applicator) though love the look of SN. A sample pot should get you 4-10 vehicles each

Aeorcleanse uses Saphir, I have onyx and concorso. they are all fantastic waxes. Onyx you will not be disappointed with, If you check some of my posts on click and brag i have two black vehicles one with onyx and the other with concorso

So looking at some samples would this be worth the money? Considering that it has waxes for different colors.

Dodo Juice Hard 4 Panel Pot Kit - 4 x 30 ml | Detailed Image

Or should I pass and take the supernatural. I'm going to give it a try before I jump into Zymol or Swissvax

I haven't tried the other dodo juices but I do have the supernatural panel pot and its pretty cool. I like the idea of the 4 pot kit because it lets you play around with the dodo line. each pot should give you about 4 applications of wax so take it for what its worth

I have the Swissvax Saphir currently.

I've been wanting to check out the sampler packs myself.

One thing I know is that I really need to work on my application methods since I always feel like I never apply enough, and then go back and put on more when I was fine the first time lol.

Yeah I feel you, i was like that a while back. I just take my time and enjoy the last step :lol look in the light and look for missed spots. Gosh guys I didn't want to buy more waxes :lol

Ill give it a try, I'm glad my customers aren't picky (yet) hope they enjoy my bonus gift

I tried the two 4 panel pot sampler tubes and don't see a difference with the lighter vs. dark color waxes. If you layer the soft over the hard the shine is insane. I personally like for a one wax Rubbish boys JE and for a hard and soft the Doublewax set up.

I believe Banana Armour and Orange Crush are the ones "made for red"...if i really believe that haha. Also u might give Hard Candy a try, its made for all colors...looks great.
