My friend who helped me with the Nissan Quest worked on his truck yesterday.

Trying to get better using the PC.

Came out pretty good.

Truck sits outside and gets washed "hopefully" every couple weeks.

He's been slacking lately so he figured some "autopia" treatment was in order.

Used flitz on the wheels in order to remove some embedded brake dust !!

:getdown

> Great job on the paint 'n wheels.

> tires need some dressing.

> swat your friend for letting his truck get so crappy.

it usually does not get that bad, but he drove through some construction near his house after it had rained, causing that white chaulky look.

I'm still really new to this so pardon the question.

How did the IP breakdown with a PC? Did it take a long time and a lot of pressure or did it go easy? I was under the impression IP was a rotary type of product.

TIA.

since i use IP with the PC i'll answer the question.

It is easy to use, light - moderate pressure and you should make sure that it is spread over the area evenly. Then just work the machine with a slow - moderate speed ( actually moving the machine, i use speed 6 / cutting pad for IP )

Does not take too long, as long as you do not use too much product, once it seems like the IP is almost gone from the paint, i stop and remove residue. :2thumbs:

Thank you for the info. I'll have to give it a try sometime.
