I've also had my share of problems with Photobucket lately, but I'm too lazy to switch. I know someone who just started using SmugMug, and he seems to be happy with it.

I use photobucket and it has gotten better recently. The iphone app works pretty good now. it's so easy to use that I don't really want to switch. The site is laggy at times and is slow to load but other then that the options are pretty good for a free site.

ya I'm using photobucket too and iphone app is pretty good
but would be interested in trying something else if somebody has any recommendations

I've used Flickr for as long as I can remember. I believe it's $25/year for unlimited uploading. They have a simple layout, easy uploading, and good organizational features. I generally prefer to pay for a hosting site as the image quality is markedly better, most of the free sites compress image quality during uploading to save file size.

I have never had too much problem with Photobucket, other than when they update their site. My problem is I have 1000s and 1000s and 1000s of pictures hosted their and I pay. If I was to try another site I would have to still pay for photobucket to keep my pictures visible..... I guess I'm stuck :P

I've been using Photobucket for years. I pay too, so I'm definitely stuck. Well, actually I just find one of their offers to complete which comps me for a year at a time and I've been doing that the last five or six years, but still... I've got thousands of pictures hosted there and shutting it down would break links on thousands of posts, so that doesn't work for me either.

Oddly enough, I've never had an issue with them. What is it that seems to be the trouble people are having with Photobucket? After thousands of pictures and years of use, I've honestly never had a problem. I haven't found a better service which quickly allows me to share photos taken with my cell phone or uploaded. Getting them posted on forums is super easy since they give you the tags already written for the image. It's just too easy for me.

I like flickr, they have slideshows that you can stick to your website fo free! They only allow a couple of photos, but hey, a couple is all you need to show people your work...
