Website Feedback

I'm tired of the current design of my website, so I've started making some design changes. I would like some feedback, please. Keep in mind none of the links, etc. will work until I finalize the template.

Thanks!

The only things I would change is to have all of the links on the left side instead of on both.

I would go like this:

Home

About Us

Services

Gallery

Do I Need a Detail?

Detailing FAQ

Contact Us

I agree, having all the links on one side would look better, plus (at least in Opera browser), that would keep you from having to scroll across to see the whole page.

Love that shot of the Viper. :)

What about putting pictures of cleaned detailed cars on the right. Or maybe pics of a car being detailed that shows from begining to end pics. Just an idea.

Hmm...I don't have to scroll in IE or Mozilla, but I do need to work on some formatting issues with the page in IE.

Do you guys think the page will look unbalanced with all the links on one side?

Personally I think it looks unbalanced as it is now. What you want to do is design the site so it is as user friendly as possible. Having everything clickable grouped together would be best.

Okay, I tried something new. The links are all on the left side, and I added a "Featured Details" area on the left, and the small pictures are linked to their respective page.

It looks like the html you're using is re-sizing the picture on the main page. Instead of referencing the full size pic you might want to have one for just that spot, so it doesn't get that jagged edge look when you re-size a pic in a webpage.

Only thing else I can recommend is make the page so the front page will fit on a 1024x768 res browser, since that's what most of the world uses. I'm at 1680x1050 and I have to scroll down on the splash page.

Hope this helps.

*Much* better, imo. I think I'd change the link color and maybe make a shiny header, but otherwise it's a very strong template. I like the colors and layout a lot.

Yeah, I definitely want to dress up the header a bit.

I appreciate everyone's feedback and welcome any more!

I like the look much better on the second page. The picture is much clearer of the Viper.

Simple look look that exudes confidence and professionalism.

I like the look of the link in your first post , try not streching the Viper picture so much . It looks clearer in your second link . Actually both sites look good , if I had to pick it would be the first link.

I think I've settled on the second rendition for now. I feel like it is less busy and offers a classy "image." I will work on a few things as time allows to dress it up a touch more.

All feedback so far is greatly appreciated! Keep it coming...
