We vs I

Right now I am in a Partnership, so I guess when speaking to a customer, or labeling anything toward the business, I can use "We." But, what if I am solo, do you still use "We?" Or what about if you are talking to a customer, do you use "We" or do you use "I?"

I guess when using "We" it makes your business seem bigger. For instance, if you're solo. Saying "We" makes it sound like...

1,2,3,4,5 > Customer when in reality it's just 1 > Customer.

But I find saying "We" is more difficult or annoying in conversation. Then there is also the factor, if solo, coming to the clients house alone...

I don't know, what do you guys think?

We vs I in a Solo and in a Partnership.

Thank you for all future replies.

Sincerely,

AquaHawk

If you say we, can this be a lie?

It depends how you spell it.

If you want to fix this, just sell

One millionth of your company to

a family member for a dollar.

This makes it "we" with no hesitation.

It also allows you to say that your company

has been valued at one million dollars by previous

investors.

Yes, both of these are stretching the truth.

They are not lies, though.

To the original question, we sounds more professional.

I guess this depends what you want the customer to think of your business. Some want the customers knowing that they will be doing all of the work themselves. This way quality is assured 100 percent. In this case "I" can give confidence to the client.

Two hundred thousand dollar car? Have no worries, I personally will take care of this for you. In that case, I over we.

Of course, there is always the "we" as professional detailers. We find it difficult to quote over the phone. We really suggest XYZ. We take pride in our work. We are fortunate to be in this industry. We love the new advances in abrasive technology. Etc etc.

As for solo versus Partnership, it depends on what type of partnership. If you're partner does different work than you, "I polish and coat vehicles" Could be the most correct statement. "We" night not be available 24/7, but I am available weekdays and my partner does the weekend work.

Personal preference and situation dependant. No wrong answer here. Whatever you, we, I, us decides.

I would go with "we". Sounds more professional regardless of 1 or more people involved. Also, because it's a company making this claim, "we" sounds more proper.
