WaxWorks: 2005 Toyota Highlander

This car had never been detailed before... just the regular weekly run through the car wash and a waxed twice a year. There were some significant scratches on the driver's side due to an encounter with some shrubbery, as well as door dings and scuffs on the front and rear bumper covers.



The process
  • Washed with CAR products Sudsational car wash shampoo
  • Clayed with CAR products Microbar clay w/Meguiar's #34 Final Inspection as a lubricant
  • Buffed with Meguair's #2 Fine Cut cCleaner via Makita rotary with a 3M foam cutting pad
  • Buffed with with Meguiars #80 Speed Glaze via PC with a Sonus Swirlbuster pad
  • Polished with Meguiar's #9 Swirl Remover 2.0 with a DAS polsihing pad
  • Two layers of Meguiar's #21 Synthetic Sealant

    [8] Glass cleaned with Stoners Invisble Glass, exterior glass treated with RainX

    Stoners More Shine Less Time on the tires



Interior

  • All interior surfaces vacuumed
  • All interior vinyl surfaces and dash cleanedwith ZEP Citrus claner in a 50/50 solution
  • All cloth upholstery cleaned with Woolite in a 6:1 soluion and extrcated wih a Bissel LGM
  • All carpets and mats cleaned with Woolite in a 6:1 soluion and extrcated wih a Bissel LGM
