Waxing over FMJ?

Have a question regarding the FMJ wax. Ive seen several people mention that they added a coat of (whatever their favorite paste wax is) Over the top of the FMJ. Im just curious as to why? The FMJ is the best "wax" Ive ever seen. Is it because its expensive and people dont want to keep adding layers of it to get the car even glossier? Or, is it because there is something out there that will enhance the shine even further? Thanks all! :jump
 
I don't know that I would top anything with NXT, as it is said to have cleaning ability. That might lessen the amount of FMJ you have on your finish. I am considering getting me some FMJ, and for the price, I don't know that I would top it with anything.
 
true, I remember seeing a black NSX on these forums that was done with FMJ and then i think he covered that with Trade secret? I guess thats the only reason I made this thread. Im just curious as to why he did that. :confused:
 
u know how we are. WE'RE CRAZY. i rememebr i had 3 coats of upp, and in my eyes, it LOOKED AWESOME. i still topped it with some souveran. its the general idea to make the paint look even glossier and shinnier. sometiems that extra coat of arnuba achieves it. sometimes it dulls it bit and takes a lot away.
