Waxing after quick detail?

I was wondering if it is ok to wax the car after it's been quick detailed? i was thinking of spraying those waxes onto my car after I quick detail, but I am not sure if that is bad or not.

why not just wash and wax, and kick out the QD??? save the QD for after you waxed as a topper

Well.. washing my car takes at least 2 hours.. i just want to be able to quick detail my car every half week which takes only 30 min and wax whenever needed after the QDs if I actually can, to keep my car slick.

Yes, u can wax after u QD. It does not matter if you QD'd a week before or 2 minutes prior, you can wax right after.

The key thing to keep in mind is that you don’t want to rub crud into the paint.



If there’s only light dust or film that’s completely removed by QDing then go ahead and wax.



If there’s anything left after QDing that you wouldn’t want ground into your finish, don’t.



If the film is too stubborn for QD you can probably use a no-rinse wash (Optimum, QEW, etc) much faster than a bucket&hose wash.

IMO 1/2 week is too long to go with just QDing
