wax residue on plastic

i tried doing a search, i dont know if i'm doing it wrong but, i was wondering what to use ? i was trying to get some nxt off of my plastic door handles, also what about the crevices ? those detailing brushes dont seem stiff enough to work on old dried wax, and if they were, wouldnt it marr the paint (black) how about paint thinner ( very carefully )

Also, PLEASE don't use paint thinner. Try toothpicks.

So far nothing has worked for me, when I read the post about the wheel cleaner I ran out and bought some, but no dice.

I will be ordering some of the stuff from Griots.
