Wax over Zaino?????

It has been a while since I have been a regular over here, and I just got a new car. It has a nice pewter color to it, so I thought it might be a good candidate to use my Zaino stash on it. ( I was using AIO/SG/S100 on my old car) I know Z was not known for layering with other products as a topper, but has anything new come out that does work well as a wax topper to Z? Or am I better off just layering a few coats of Z and leaving it?

TIA

You can apply wax over Zaino... but, before you apply more Zaino, you have to strip off the old wax first.

I prefer just to apply the Z layers with about 3 coats, and then maintain with Z6.

A lot of guys don't like to do that, because they like to "mix and match" their products, but I'm pretty much sold on the Zaino line.

I've used P21S and OCW over Z2 (last version before Z2 Pro) with good results. With P21S- it's not known for it's durability so a strong wash solution (Gold Class, double strength) after a few weeks and it's gone if I want to add more Zaino. OCW is still on the car and looks good. I've also read, but not tried, excellent reviews on Z8 as Zaino's "topper" for Z2 (which can give a carnauba type glow and extend the durability of Z2 based on others reviews). Nothing wrong with experimenting to see what works for you!

I used carnuba over Zaino last spring since I was going to Florida during Love Bug season. It looked great and gave good short term protection, but I did have to Dawn wash and "re-Zaino" after we got back. It wasn't worth the effort for the appearance. Layer Zaino and use Z-6 or Z-8. It's easier, looks great, and lasts!
