Wax On Polished Aluminum?

I have a polished aluminum front tower strut on my Z3 that stays relatively bright but wonder if wax on top of the aluminum will keep it polished looking longer, or will the wax react with the aluminum and actually make it duller looking?...Thanks...Michael P.

Does the polished aluminum have some sort of clear coat?



probably not if not try metal polishes....they will clean it and deposit some stuff to help protect it a bit longer......
