Waterspots not coming out

I have had since the day I bought my 06 Charger(brand new) etched water spots that will not come out. I have tried White Distilled Vinegar, Light Cut Leveler by hand and even my new Porter Cable 7424.

You don't see the spots in sunlight, only under flourescent lighting. Am I using too soft of a polishing soluting??? Should I go more aggressive?? What's the secret??

Trying going more aggressive. I removed water spots from a customers car and I tried my UDM w/ CCS orange pad with SIP and it didnt work. I actually had to step it up to the rotary, but only had to use my white pad with 106FF.

Rotary, wool pad and Meguiars #105 for several passes wouldn't touch water etching on an M5 I looked at a few months ago. If you get to that combo and it isn't working, wetsanding is the only other option and if that doesn't work, live with it or repaint it.

Last car with waterspots I did needed #105 and a foam polishing pad to get rid of the really stubborn ones.

I think of "waterspots" and "water etching" as two different problems, and I'm guessing that we're talking about etching here.

I'm even more conservative about this than ScottWax.

If they don't come out with reasonable measures, I'd learn to live with them. My wife's A8 got some nasty etching from sprinklers (Memphis municipal water  ) that didn't come out with aggressive rotary work, and I'd rather live with them than thin the clear by wetsanding. Ditto for the etching on my Denali XL, which twisted wool and aggressive compounds didn't begin to correct.

Yeah, Maybe I need to change that to Etching spots. It came that way from the factory after the car arrived to me 1 month after it was built. I would think it's too late to do any fixing of the etching now.....that's it's 2 years old. Thanks for everyone's feedback.
