Waterless Wash: Poorboy's or Chemical Guys?

I'm looking to try out a waterless wash for the first time and can't decide between these 2 products:

or

SPEED_WIPE_16OZ_2.jpg

Opinions/preferences please.

I initially wanted to try CG's Ecosmart until I found out about the extra step involved (waiting for the wax/sealant residual film to haze before making the final wipe-off pass).

My main purpose for this product is a quick inbetween-true-washes maintenance wash that I can perform quickly on my lunchbreak.

I plan to use it for those times when there's a bit more dirt on the car than I'd feel safe using a QD on.

It's understood that this type of product would not be suitable for really dirty situations; only for times when my schedule or the weather hasn't allowed me to do my weekly full 2 bucket wash or ONR wash.

Thanks for your input.

I like PB's as a cleaning detailer. I tend to use it more as a spot cleaner and does not change gloss or add slickness. I did not really speed wipe was a waterless wash.

I tried the poorboys, and IMO, not worth it. ONR is faster, safer and doesn't use 30 MF rags to do a single car.

Waterless Wash And Wax With Kaolin Clay I thought this stuff here performed really well, its just a little expensive. Good stuff tho in my opinion

That's the product I believe is their 'Ecosmart'. I'm trying to avoid the 'wipe, wait for haze, wipe again' aspect of that product as I'll be doing my waterless washes with rather stingy time constraints.

Just want something that works like a QD (spray, wipe off), but is safer for a slightly higher dirt level.

I agree for a wash you really would be better off with ONR or QEW.

Thanks for the contributions but please try and filter a full ONR wash out of the thread's focus.

For my purposes specifically I'm going to be at work and can't go messing around with buckets and water.

I need to simply limit my 20 or so minute quick wash to a spray bottle, some MFs and that's all.

The car (when I'll be doing a waterless wash of this sort) will not be overly dirty: just a tad dirtier than I'd feel comfortable using a QD for. I just want something to get me by until my full weekly ONR wash.

I'm thinking at this point I'll either try some dilution of ONR (poured into a spray bottle) or Poorboy's waterless wash.

Thats exactly what to do !

Works like a charm and just as effective as the 2 Waterless washes you`ve mentioned.

Exactly.

I used to use the Poorboys, and it just makes more sense to use ONR.

Some MFs...lol... you will need a whole stack! To feel like I wasn't scratching, I was using about two per panel, and that was on car with a week worth of dust and no rain. I think you are on the right track with the ONR, get one of those pressurized handheld sprayers and it will be 10x better than the poorboys stuff.

This Eco Smart by Chemical Guys is really good. I have no issues using it even on hot surfaces.

Ultima waterless wash + is my hands down fav.
I have never had a problem with this product ever!
Concentrated and mixed with water, I use it in a pressure sprayer and love this stuff. Really hard to find in Canada, but it's worth it to me.

Ultima+ tops all WW's.

1. better cleaning power than PB and CG

2. comes pre-mixed or as a concentrate

3. leaves behind a slick polymer finish

4. marketed as a true waterless wash

5. after power washing I used it as a final wipe/QD during last years brutal winter in NE

Buy a small bottle pre-mixed and try it out.

I've used Poorboy's Spray & Wipe for more than ten years. If you want the best waterless cleaning product that does not add or subtract to the original finish then look no farther. It is simply superior for almost all surfaces. It's just that simple.
