Does this work as a pump air first, then spray action water pump for lite removal of engine de-greaser if water hose is not available

It appears to be a miniature version of a pump up sprayer like those used for spraying lawn chemicals.
If it was filled with water, it would probably do a decent job of spraying for a rinse, but I doubt that it would have enough pressure to actually loosen any residue that the degreaser hadn't liquified.

Thanks Charles, i guess it would really depend on how dirty the engine is, and i can say that its pretty clean, except for a little grease and dirt that is no big deal, but a big deal to me, also what de-greaser i'd use......

this is what was recommended:

Since I usually just wash my engine compartment with regular car shampoo and an old wash mitt, I'm not familiar with a lot of the different products available. The Auto-Glym is one I know nothing about. I have heard that the company does have some good products, though.

About once a year I use S100 Total Cycle Cleaner under the hood to get into all those little nooks and crannies that I may have missed. I think it is the same product as the P21S Total Auto Wash you can find here.
Seems to do a pretty good job, but there again, the area isn't very dirty to start with.
