Water spots on chrome vs. Bar Keepers Friend

I left my van parked for a few weeks and didn't realize the driver's side was getting hit with sprinklers 3 times a day...and in the summer sun. :o

I tried a lot of techniques to get the spots off the chrome and paint, both chemical (vinegar, etc) and abrasives, and nothing really worked well. The spots were high enough that I could scrape them with my fingernail.

My before picture is right before using BKF, but I should point out that it is better than the wheel originally was! If I'd only started with BKF I could have have the job done much sooner! (I must have spent an hour on it with various things)

The pictures aren't perfect, and the job isn't totally done yet, but in just 10 minutes the waterspots are nearly gone! Look around the rim to see how bad it originally was. I'm thrilled with how easy it was to do! :2thumbs:

BKF does look like a great product, where did you pick yours up at? Nice photos, they really show the difference after using it!

Barkeeper's Friend is a great product. I've used it on glass many times. It can be purchased at Wal Mart in the cleaning aisle or at Bed Bath and Beyond as a liquid version also.
