Water etching in tight places

If I only had more time.
I haven't bought a rotory yet, but will be soon. This will rid of my water etching nightmare and get rid of all the scratches that can only be seen under flourecent lighting. I hope.

Anyhow, my question is how do you remove etching in tight spaces? Here are a couple of pics of the side windows with etching around them.

Do you use a smaller pad on a rotory? Nothing by hand will remove etching, will it?

Well, I need to go get that rotory. There is only so much I can do with that DA. (venting)

I'm just gonna throw this out there... could you get some extra high grit wet/dry sandpaper (4000+) and wetsand the area then polish it off?
 
I would not wetsand those areas ... the tight spaces are the most difficult to buff out the lines created by sanding.
It can most definitely be polished by hand;
I would use a cotton diaper and start with Poorboys SSR 2 and work down to SSR 1.
I might even start out with the SSR 1 to see what it does.
As you become more experienced with the rotary, those areas can be buffed with the edge of the pad, producing great results.
 
Yup I also hated too. I have 4 customers that they have a small rear wing in the back. Man, I just hated to try to remove those water spot underneath the wing area. Its almost impossible.
 
have you tried an acid bath on those areas after claying? then hit it with the polish by hand or use a dremel type tool with the polishing bit and go easy on it. That is how i polish the tight spots on the bike....works for me.
 
I tried the vinegar(acid) bath. It does remove a lot of the white, even though the pictures show otherwise, but the paint is etched. Leaves that outline of the water on the paint.

The dremel ideal is excellent. I will be very careful and give that a shot.
