Washing wash mitts?

zesty-man

how do ya like it?
now that ive started to use QEW, ive really noticed that my wash mitts get dirty fast, even though i rinse them everytime i use them. however, ive figured out that this dirty black stuff on my mitts goes away after every wash. im thinkngi that maybe i should run over to costco and get a few more washing mitts, so i dont have to wash the wash mitts everytime i use them..

how often do you guys wash your wash mitts? is it safe to wash dirty mitts with some dirty mfs?

I just run them under water a couple times and wring them out. Washing them in the machine may degrade them too fast :dunno

I don't know about washing them with MF's Zesty. I would feel that MF's need to be washed alone by themselves.

I really dn't see a problem with washing your wsh mitt by hand. That will save the wear and tear from the machine
.

What type of wash mitts are we talking about? I use Mf wash mitts and they wash up fine in the machine. No I don't have a problem with Mf mitts releasing dirt. If you are using sheepskin or cotton I wouldn't wash in the machine. Both shed like crazy and won't last too long this way.

when I wash my sheepskin in the washer (hand washables / delicates) it comes out squeaky clean =) And when on the spin cycle, it comes out almost dry. As for degrading? $5 at wal-mart, they'll last a good 6 months to a year I think, just depends how dirty and how much use they get.

:yeah I've been washing my mitts in the washer for a while now, usually washed alone using Woolite and I haven't had any degrading problems. I definately wouldn't throw them in with my mf though.

Same here, I wash sheepskin mitts in the washer and dry them in the dryer. I just found out apparently it's ok to wash them with mfs.

Run mine threw the washing machine with the towels then air dry after. I think that the heat will breask down the natural oils in the wool is my guess.
