Washing new pads...necessary?

Hello everyone

Just like the title says, is it necessary (or recommended) to wash PC pads (ie, LC pads) before first usage?
For MF towels, seems like it is, but I wasn't sure for PC pads.

I use the Meguiars pads right out of the package. Not sure of the other brands.

I never washed any of my pads before their 1st use.
LC, or Megs.
