washing MF towels

I just put some Dawn dishwashing liquid in a Tupperware bowl of warm water, hand agitate, rinse 'em and put them on hangers to dry.

They dry overnight and work well.

Hope that helps

is it safe to wash dirty MF in the washing machine? can someone recommend me a good way of washing them

there are many theories on which detergent is the best. Many use ALL, some use WOOLITE.

This is MF-specific:

The dryer is fine as well. The MF towels are actually very tough.

If you'll run this search you'll find a few solid "beginner" threads on precisely this topic. But in a nutshell:

Washer: yes

Water temp: warm or hot

Detergent: liquid only; no powder, no bleach, no softener

Dry: line or (if you must) cool temp dryer

Have no fear, chuck 'em in the washing machine, a little liquid deterg. and your off to the races.......As of late there been some discussion about using bleach without any ill effects....I have yet to try that, but thats what im reading......

my newest method is: only MFs in the load..add liquid detergent that contains no softeners or fragrance...dissolve a scoop of Oxyclean into 2 cups of hot water..add to washer while filling, then add a capfull of Murphy's Oil soap...wash on longest setting..throw in dryer on low heat for about 20 minutes..remove while still damp and hang over a clothes drying rack overnight. I've found that this trick removes those stubborn black marks and leaves them very soft.
