Washed, Clayed and Waxed

GC wash, CM clay (Including windshield:up), #7, and S100.



Mmmph...Life is good...Life is good.



After washing and rinsing, I refilled a bucket with a GC shampoo solution and dunked in it, a clean cotton chenille wash mitt. I used that as the lube for my claying. Just a swipe with the wet mitt, clay-clay-clay, wipe it with the wash mitt again and rinse.



Ba-Da-Bing! Lube, clay, wash and rinse in one giant step.



I swear, though, #7 keeps calling me back on my 202 Black Onyx Lexus. It really outperforms all other glazes I've tried on this paint. I've yet to try OG Glaze, though. Next!



Claying the windshield is something I recommend to all.

I too clay my windows. It acts kind of like rainx. because the water beads right off with no resistance. it also really adds to the shines:xyxthumbs

Clay isn't really a good substitute for RainX. Its not actually leaving anything behind on your windshild. If water is zipping off your windshield after you clay it then its simply the reaction of water on a clean glass windshield. That affect won't last very long. Get something designed to repel water if you want to see some real beads zip off your glass. :xyxthumbs



I clay my glass with my clay right before I toss it. I figure that there isn't much harm it can do on the glass. It definatly feels smoother after I'm done.

Im not saying use it instead of rainx. but i have found it works well. but like you said, it only lasts for a short time. Nothing like the look and repelancy (is that even a word?) of a rainx'd windsheild.
