A fellow NASIOC member thought it would be a good idea to have a wash and wax day in the winter so people could have a clean and waxed car. So we found a local performance shop that let us have it there. This was Day 1 of 2 (day 2 is next sunday, another 10 cars)
As mentioned in that thread, all cars gotr washed and dried, then NXT applied via PC and a grey pad on 3. Tires got Hot Shine on them.
The Black STi got AIO via PC and a white pad. I wanted to see the swirl fighting ability that it had, and I was really amazed. I had trouble with the AIO going on to thickly, even though I applied the same amount to the pad as I usually do with NXT or DACP. I had to mist the car down with a QD and make 2-3 passes to get all the product off the car.
The black 3000GT was badly swirled and oxidized. and since I was on atime crunch (my helper decided not to show up or call me, so what should have been a busy day for 2 detailers was a CRAZY day for me alone.) So I just used the NXT on it. I was pretty pleased to see that it cleaned up the paint nicely and filled in some swirls (not alot, but enough to make the car look decent again) It could really have used DACP x2 and NXT to really pop, but at $25 a car, all he got was NXT.
I don't know how Scottwax does more than 2 or 3 cars in a day, after 4 I was beat and by the end of the day, I was ready to pass out. . .I had leg muscles hurting that I didn't know I even had!
