Wash MF before using?

Do any of you wash your MF towels & cloths before using, or wait until they get dirty?



How about your mitts?



I'm curious; not knowing anything of their manufacture, would it be wise to wash before using?
 
truthfull, and Ill be the first to say, I have never washed a MF b4 use...........:D
 
Yes...always wash your mf towels prior to their first use. This will help take off any loose fibers that may still be on the towel due to the manufacturing process.

Well i tried using a MF towel for the first time without washing it and i had quite a few fibres left behind on my finish. So i suggest washing..

I started using MF cloths a year or 2 ago, but have to admit I never even thought about washing them before using until stumbling upon this site!
 
I've always washed my mf's before first use.



this is a little off topic but i need to rant. I just got my order from pakshak a couple days ago so i wash them, but i leave to go to the store for 30 mins. when i come back home i find my towels in the dryer on high heat!:scared :angry My roomate thought he would help me out and throw the brand new mf towels in the dryer. I was sooo mad, but it turned out the towles were not completely ruined which was a shock to me. *i DO NOT reccomend anyone dry their mf's on high heat* i believe i got lucky.

i guess that is a lesson i learned abbout the care for mf, never leave your house in the middle of a job!
