I've been using Zaino Z-7, but I ran out of that today & would like to try a new product. From what I've researched, the 3 I've put in my poll seem pretty popular, I just can't decide. I want a wash soap with a bit of a wax product or something similar in it. I'm really leaning toward the CG's soap b/c a whole gallon for $16 seems like a great deal.

If you use any of the above bands, chime in and let me know how they are.

Duragloss #901 or #902 is the number for the gallon

I love the soap. I mean I don't even know what to say about it. Just awesome stuff. Plus you can get it locally!

Smells like cough medicine though.

Oh yeah, I also really like Poorboy's SSS. It's a bit more expensive than 901/902. But its a very nice soap.:bigups

Yea, DG 901 is nice. I didnt like it at first, but now I love the stuff. Optimum also makes a nice soap, which is more concentrated so you use less. Another soap that I have heard is amazing is the Tropi-Care car soap. It is supposed have amazing lubrication and put some hybrophobic polymers on the paint to aid in drying

Edt - Just saw your poll. 1Z is also a highly recommended soap. It is more of a soap+, like a wash and wax product.

I've only used the CG Citrus Wash & Gloss. I just ordered it not too long ago so I've only used it 2 or 3 times with my new foam gun. It's very concentrated. I went crazy the first time I used the foam gun and put it on the "max" setting just to see a foam/snow storm. I liked the product. I would also like to try the one you're looking at just to compare the two.

I looked at that Citrus one...is it easy on waxes/sealant?

I'm with JB here. Why no Citrus Wash on your list? One ounce makes 5 gallons. Cannot beat it for value for money.

DG901 FTW!! Stopped using my Z7 because of it.

Ditto. Best wash I've found for the money...excellent cleaning power, excellent lube, lots o' suds, cheap, can't beat it! Reminds me a lot of Z7 actually, only a different color, smell, and...price.

Zoom, you've completely overlooked the two best: Griot's and 1Z Exclusiv Glanz!

Enjoy.

I think you would get more meaningful poll results if you told people how you plan on using the soap. In a bucket? Foam gun? Foam cannon? Also, what do you like to see in a soap? Lots of foam? Lots of lubricity? Strong cleaning abilitiy?

1Z Exclusiv Glanz is my favorite car wash.. it has outstanding cleaning ability and leaves a glossy/slick finish.

I also use DG.. it's very good, too, but doesn't clean quite as well as 1Z. 1Z removes light road tar much easier.

I haven't tried Griot's, but I've heard it's good.

It's clearly one of 1Z's finest products. It's too bad it doesn't get more mention.

1Z Perls is my favorite. If suds are important to you, then you might want to skip it, but it has excellent lubricity, cleans great and leaves a beautiful finish. Kind of pricey, but worth it IMHO.

Having said that, I haven't tried the others listed, but if you have the ability to do so...try them all! That's how I came to my own conclusion.

...not to mention my own little shampoo isle in my garage ;)

I've gone thru quite a bit of both 1Z shampoos and the Perls is just a bit thin and low-sudsing for my taste. That's why I rank the Exclusiv Glanz higher, I prefer more suds, but not to the point of being over-done.

Exclusiv Glanz is a little pricey, but not way out of wack. Its price is comparable to other high end products. Plus, a half dollar size amount is all that's required, so the small bottle does go along way.

I don't mind paying more for a product that offers more performance than cheaper alternatives. This soap definitely dissolves a larger variety of dirt/contaminants than most. That's worth the money, IMO. The finish it leaves behind is a bonus.

I didn't vote in the poll since I don't have any experience with those three, but I'm a big fan of ONR. It has really changed my car washing.
