Looking to expand on my HD arsenal.  Love the polish and speed, so think I should take advantage of the weekend sale.  Some questions:

-Nitro or Poxy?  I know Nitro is much longer lasting, but also priced much higher.  Is Nitro THAT much better?

-Maintaining either of the above - Express, touch?  Both?

-Prep - Anything special other than polishing?

-Dressing - How is the ultra protectant for tires

Any other must have products?

Also, does HD ship quickly?

Thanks!

Can't coment on the Nitro, but Poxy is a very nice LSP--3-4 months durability with the look of wax---tends to darken light colors a bit, but has a very wet look -- easy application and a little goes a long way

HD Express has really surprised me--thicker than other spray waxes so I find it's best to spread it with an applicator then buff with MF--fantastic shine and beading -- lasts for a couple of months.

HD Total is my favorite APC--effective and easy to wipe off leather and vinyl

3D 50:1 glass cleaner can't be beat IMO--first wipe produces a haze that is easily removed with the second dry wipe--you can acutally feel when the haze is gone as the glass gets very slick so even in poor light it's easy to get streak free windows--ends up costing about $.50 a bottle when mixed with distilled water

HD Poxy is a fantastic product, I use it fairly often still even with all the coatings I install. As for Nitro, I haven't tried it and cannot comment.  HD Express is nice and slick but I don't find myself using it that much. Right now I am a really big fan of HD Cut and HD Adapt and use them daily for my corrections.

5jjt.... This is a case of 'IRA THE IRATE CUSTOMER'.... How many times have you run into IRA ....Nothing will ever be good enough. What do you do with a customer like IRA?

Yes, Earl, I've been quietly irate inside lately. I use the world of detailing to sooth my nerves. It's a lot like meditation to me, or an addiction at the moment. I'm just an enthusiest, not professional by any means. Not that this matters, but I've spent nearly double on detailing products than I have on my house payment this month.

I used to work in sales, so I know what disappoints a customer and what doesn't. Making a customer wait unnecessarily should be thought about twice because the customer does notice.

Did you by chance call them back to ask if they would ship separately before getting all pissed and ranting here? Maybe they wouldn't have a problem with it

I really don't think it's fair to come complain about HD here without giving them the opportunity to satisfy you first.  You said yourself when you got the message that you responded with "yeah, that's ok".  Why would they waste shipping things twice if you told em it was ok to wait until it was all ready to go on the phone?  For all we know a simple "no that's not ok" would have been all that was needed when they contacted you initially to get the desired results.

Now if you had told them that wasn't acceptable and they still wouldn't ship until the t-shirt was there, that's a different story

That's a little out of touch, houseofwax. Why do you even have that video in your arsenal? That's a bit wierd.

I think the serious train started to derail when you mentioned the sand in your polish and running the T-shirt on armpits

You can also purchase HD Products at Autoality.com with free shipping on orders over $25 and under 5 lbs and free shipping on orders over $75.

I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to the whole Autopia community and 3D HD Car Care for posting incorrect information about an order I placed with 3D HD recently.  I was wrong in describing the facts. 3D HD DID ship most of my order, except for the back-ordered item, 8 hours before I made claim that they were not going to ship any of my items until the back-ordered item was in stock. I just checked and confirmed with fed ex. Yes, I feel stupid.

Sorry HD.

So, to answer just one your questions, OneQuickGT1, they have shipped every order I have ever placed with them very quickly.
